Event Description:
Are you ready for the 2012 Illinois Energy Conservation Code, which is based on the 2012 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC)? Each revision of the IECC tends to ratchet up energy performance requirements, and the 2012 IECC revision is no exception.
Major changes will be made in the 2012 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC). The 2012 code requires more insulation, a tighter envelope, tighter ducts, better windows, and more efficient lighting than the 2009 code. Modifications to the code unique to Illinois will be covered.
At the conclusion of this webinar you will be able to:
- Understand the history of the Illinois Energy Conservation Code
- Compare the IECC 2012 requirements with IECC 2009 requirements
- Recognize the amendments to the 2012 Illinois Energy Conservation Code
- Identify characteristics of building envelope leakage testing
Target audiences include residential builders, architects, building engineers, building energy code officials and contractors.
