Event Description:

Visit a green home in Lincoln Park. This fully-renovated townhouse is targeting LEED Platinum and may become the first LEED-certified condominium renovation in the nation. Working within the constraints of a homeowner’s association, the project team took a unique focus to achieving LEED certification.

The home features innovations new to Chicago such as a Drain Water Heat Recovery system, along with extensive spray foam insulation, a high-efficiency HVAC system with an Energy Recovery Ventilator and a whole-house HEPA filter, low-VOC materials, locally sourced hardwood floors, and more.

The open house will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Central Time on Monday June 25. The nearest L stops are North and Clybourn on the Red line and Sedgwick on the Brown line. When you arrive, please check in at the front gate guardhouse. To avoid tracking outdoor pollutants inside, shoes are removed at the home’s foyer.
